There is no difference in terms of yield or shelf life. The difference lies in the fact that ice in cells, unlike bagged ice, can be shaped to both the products being shipped and the containers in which it will be placed. Furthermore, the cells can also be cut into individual units for small shipments. The cells can also be purchased unactivated, meaning they can be used after being immersed in plain water for a few hours. This allows for significant savings when ordering large quantities, lowers our shipping costs thanks to the smaller volumes shipped, and provides logistical savings due to the reduced space required in the customer's warehouse.
Absolutely not. Our product is tested by BioLab Laboratories and authorized for use in the food industry, therefore it is completely harmless if ingested.
Regardless of the type of ice used (cells or bags), the quantity required is 2–2.5 kg of refrigerant for every 10 kg of perishable goods to be shipped. This quantity depends on the overall quality of the container (thickness and density), so the higher its isothermal factor, the less product can be used.

In recent years, we've seen a gradual decline in dry ice usage due to its hazardous nature. It's also important to note that all shipments made with dry ice must be declared in advance, and couriers apply a surcharge. Synthetic ice, on the other hand, is completely safe, doesn't need to be declared at all, and offers the great advantage of being reusable.
